Sir Walter Scott at 250

The Lord Lyon, accompanied by the Macer and all nine of the Officers of Arms, took part today in the celebratory service and procession marking the 250th anniversary of the birth year of Sir Walter Scott.

The service can be viewed HERE:

After the Service, the company decamped in an exhilarating procession to the Scott Monument where the Lord Provost laid a wreath.

Something of the flavour of the occasion, and views of the wonderful horses and Dandie Dinmount dogs, can be seen HERE.

Many congratulations and thanks to Sir Angus Grossart whose brain-child the whole event was.
