The Lord Lyon has been petitioned to (one) officially recognise Alan MacDonald in the name and style Chief of the name and arms of MacDonald of Glencoe and (two) to grant warrant to the Lyon Clerk to prepare Letters Patent maintaining, ratifying and confirming to the said Alan MacDonald the ancient ensigns Armorial of CLAN MACDONALD OF GLENCOE with Supporters, standard and pinsel with a destination to the heirs of the said Alan MacDonald bearing the name of MacDonald alone. Any person claiming an interest in the Petition is required to lodge Answers with the Court of the Lord Lyon within 42 days of the date of the Lord Lyon’ Interlocutor. Eileen Rumble MBE
We hear with great sadness of the death of Mrs Eileen Rumble MBE who for many years led the wonderful group of Dundee embroiderers who created and maintained our tabards. Our condolences to her husband and family. May she rest in peace/
