The Lord Lyon, Marchmont Herald and Carrick Pursuivant took part yesterday in the installation of Major General Alastair Bruce of Crionaich OBE as Governor of Edinburgh Castle. The ceremony was much delayed and cut-down by Covid restrictions.

Sadly the usual ceremonies to celebrate St John's Day have been postponed by both Orders but here are their Arms to mark the day. Arms of the Priory of Scotland of the Venerable Order of the Hospital of St John of Jerusalem (left) and those of the Sovereign MIlitary and Hospitaller Order of Saint John of Jerusalem, of Rhodes and of Malta (right).
We warmly congratulate Sir Crispin Hamlyn AGNEW OF LOCHNAW Bt. LVO, Q.C., Rothesay Herald of Arms, on being created a Lieutenant of the Royal Victorian Order by Her Majesty The Queen, marking forty years service as an Officer of Arms.
Sir Crispin was appointed Unicorn Pursuivant in 1981 and advanced to Rothesay Herald in 1986.
