 Today, the Lord Lyon presented Clare McCrory, who has been Herald Painter since 2021 with her warrant beautifully engrossed by Annette Reed.

Falkland Pursuivant Extraordinary granted MVO

 We congratulate Major Neil Cargill, Falkland Pursuivant Extraordinary, on his appointment as MVO by HM The King at Victoria Barracks, Ballater, on October 10th 2024.

New Grant of Arms

 The Lord Lyon has granted arms to Taylor Forrester Moffitt of Halydean. The artist is Garry Millie.

Memorial Service for Charles Burnett

The Lord Lyon and Officers of Arms yesterday attended a Memorial Service for the late Charles Burnett, Ross Herald, in St Vincent's Chapel, Stockbridge. Charles's hatchment was painted by Mark Dennis.

The eulogy was delivered by Gordon Casely.

Lyon receives Honorary Fellowship

 On the 10th October at the College’s Headquarters in London the Lord Lyon was made an Honorary Fellow of the Royal College of Psychiatrists for his national contribution to mental health.

The College registered arms in 1972 with the Court of the Lord Lyon.

Lyon at Edinburgh Trades

 On the 4th October the Lord Lyon attended the Dinner of the Incorporated Trades of Edinburgh held in the City Chambers and hosted by the Deacon Convener Jock Miller and was honoured to Propose the Toast to the Edinburgh Trades.

Lyon at Peace Service

 On the 3rd October the Lord Lyon took part in the Scottish Ahlul Bayt Society candle lighting ceremony for peace at Edinburgh City Chambers.
