Ewing Family Convention
Rothesay Herald presided today over the Ewing Family Convention, to consider recognition of a Chief, at historic Strathleven House built in 1708. A report on the Convention will be submitted to the Lord Lyon for his consideration. Strathleven House is a Palladian Mansion built for the Earl of Dundonald and was once the home of James Ewing MP for Glasgow, who died in 1853, but held by his descendants until the Second World War.
