Among the Crests of the Order of the Thistle on display at Biggar Museum until August 10th, is A demi-lion rampant Gules holding  a cinquefoil slipped Or, the crest of Archibald Philip Primrose, 5th Earl of Rosebery KG, KT, PC, FRS, FBA (1847 – 1929)
