Cupar Celebration Weekend

The Lord Lyon was guest of honour at the Cupar Celebration Weekend 2021 on the 18th September. He unveiled new heritage signage in the town and a plaque to commemorate a new exhibition. The arms of Cupar Community Council are based on those of the former royal burgh.

One element of the Exhibition is the life of Sir David Lindsay of the Mount, a former Lord Lyon who lived near Cupar. At the Duncan Library, Lyon named the two Grotesques on the tower. Their names were chosen by the people of Cupar and District.
