From 350 years ago

 Following on from the blazon of the arms of the Sovereign as King of Scots/Scotland, the next entry in Volume 1 of the Public Register is the arms of the monarch as Sovereign of Great Britain as used in Scotland. 

The arms so described are the same as those used by Charles II's grandfather, James VI and are displayed in Edinburgh Castle.
