Submarine Memorial
The Lord Lyon was honoured to laid a wreath for those “who are still on patrol” on 9th September during the Annual Memorial Service held at the Submarine Memorial in Dundee. The Memorial was opened by HRH The Duke of Gloucester in 2009.

Lyon visits Aberdeen Advocates
The Lord Lyon was the guest at the President’s Invitational Dinner at the Society of Advocates in Aberdeen. The dinner was held in the historic Advocates Library in the centre of Aberdeen and the speaker was Sheriff Douglas Cusine. The Society will be 250 years old next year.
Lyon at Dundee University
The Lord Lyon gave the Opening Lecture at the Lifelong Learning Group at Dundee University .

Unicorn in Aberdeen
Unicorn Pursuivant (first mentioned in a 1426 charter of Aberdeenshire lands) addressed the City of Aberdeen Ladies Probus Club this morning on several local themes, including Royal Deeside, in honour of the 8th September anniversary of the death of Hm Queen Elizabeth.

Lyon gets in the Groove
On the 1st of September, the Lord Lyon successfully completed the “test” to become a mason within the Three Trades of Dundee (united in 1761) under the supervision of the Clerk Allan Keillor. The test was to carve a groove in to a piece of stone using a hammer and chisel.
Carrick installed as Chancellor of the Diocese of Brechin
